Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using our mobile applications—CivicScope, ExecutiveScope, or JudicialScope (collectively, the "Apps")—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Apps.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Civic Suite Apps, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
Description of Services
The Apps provide access to publicly available government information:
- CivicScope: Congressional legislation, representatives, and voting records
- ExecutiveScope: Presidential executive orders, proclamations, and related documents
- JudicialScope: Federal court opinions, dockets, and Supreme Court information
The Apps may include features such as AI-generated summaries, search functionality, and personalized content based on your location or preferences.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Apps. By using the Apps, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Account Registration
Sign in with Apple / Google
You may create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Subscriptions and Payments
Subscription Tiers
The Apps offer free and paid subscription tiers:

Payment Processing
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store payment information.
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings
- No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following the date of the price change.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Apps for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Apps or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Apps or servers
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Apps
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Apps
- Resell or redistribute App content without permission
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
Intellectual Property
Our Content
The Apps, including their design, features, and original content, are owned by Civic Suite Apps, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Government Data
The government information displayed in the Apps (legislation, court opinions, executive documents) is in the public domain. Our compilation, presentation, and any added features (such as AI summaries) remain our intellectual property.
AI-Generated Content
AI-generated summaries and analyses are provided for informational purposes only. See "Disclaimers" section below.
Your License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Apps for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Disclaimers
No Legal Advice: The Apps provide access to government information for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in the Apps constitutes legal, political, or professional advice.
AI-Generated Content
AI-generated summaries and analyses may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Always verify important information by consulting original sources. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

THE APPS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Apps will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The Apps are free of viruses or harmful components
- The results obtained from using the Apps will be accurate or reliable
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIVIC SUITE APPS, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Apps
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Apps
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Apps
- Any errors or omissions in any content
- Any content or conduct of any third party
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Civic Suite Apps, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of the Apps
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
Third-Party Services
The Apps may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (including Apple, Google, and government data providers). We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services.
Modifications to the Apps
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Apps (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Apps.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version. Your continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@civicsuiteapps.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 60 days.
Binding Arbitration
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Apps shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Austin, Texas.
Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Civic Suite Apps, LLC regarding the Apps and supersede any prior agreements.
